I am sorry to say that BT has taken the decision to cease the Partners in Communication pilot and not take it to national roll out. It was felt that this programme, although laudable and well developed could not be financed successfully to conclusion. Like many businesses, BT has to look very carefully at its strategy, particularly during these challenging economic times.
We intend to run the pilot until the end of March 2010 to allow schools still interested in completing an award stage, such as bronze or silver, to complete their application on-line. The work will be moderated and schools meeting the criteria will receive the certification from BT.
Pilot schools that have already completed an award stage will be presented with a certificate to acknowledge their achievements. We hope the results of the activities will still prove beneficial to the school and want to recognise the achievements accordingly.

Partners in Communication is an innovative quality development scheme for primary and secondary schools in the UK, created and managed by the
BT Better World Campaign. It supports teachers and managers in practising and encouraging good communication – in the classroom, in day-to-day school life, and in engaging with their community.
Schools can achieve bronze, silver and gold awards that recognise their commitment to improving through communication. Membership of Partners in Communication gives schools access to resources, advice and evidence submitted by other schools to help them improve and share best practice. Find out more >>
