A quality development scheme that aims to support school transformation.
This initiative has been created in response to the recognition that communication is the number one life skill, and that dialogue is essential in putting the school at the heart of the community. This scheme provides an audit framework that allows schools to better understand their current situation, and to highlight areas of success and where there is a need for improvement.
There are three levels – bronze, silver and gold, which we have developed with a group of current teachers from primary and secondary schools.
But it's not just about recognising excellence
It is about supporting schools through a long-term commitment to improvement, recognising that no school is ever ‘finished’ when it comes to good communication – there's always room for more improvement.
The members' area of this website functions as a portal to other organisations, initiatives and resources that will help schools to improve the way they communicate in the classroom, in school life, and with their communities.
Membership also gives you access to a library of evidence submitted by other participating schools. Through this community of best practice, schools can work collaboratively as partners in communication.
